The typical 90-minute vendor webinar showing every feature is forgotten by the next morning. Staff need to know how the tool fits into workflows they execute every day, not every feature it offers.
What Works
Map current workflow first. Show new workflow with tool integrated. Practice with real client data. Focus on the first week. Provide one-page quick-reference guides specific to each workflow.
What Creates Resistance
Training without context on why the tool is being adopted. Training during peak season. No feedback channel. Expecting perfection immediately. Ignoring skeptics instead of addressing concerns.
The Champion Model
Internal champions who learn deeply and become peer resources. Select based on technical aptitude and social influence. Their endorsement carries more credibility than external trainers.
